CUET PG 2027 Notification: What to Expect and a Documents Checklist for MA Economics

7 min readMasters Economics Entrances

"When will the CUET PG notification come? What if I miss something?" These are the two questions we hear every year around this time. The first has a partial answer. The second is mostly about being organised, and that part is in your hands.

The CUET (PG) 2027 information bulletin has not been published yet. So this guide separates three things: what NTA has officially said, what last year's bulletin tells us, and what is still unknown.

Start here: a ten-minute win

Create one folder on your phone or laptop called "CUET PG 2027". Put in it a clear photo or scan of your Class 10 certificate, your Class 12 marksheet and your bachelor's marksheets so far. Then write your full name as it appears on each document on one line, one under the other.

If those lines don't match exactly, you have just found a problem while there is plenty of time to fix it.

What NTA has said so far

  • Exam dates: NTA's published examination calendar lists CUET (PG) for 2 to 5, 8 to 9, 12, 15 to 19, 24 to 25 and 29 to 31 March 2027, 17 days in all. The calendar says dates are tentative and may change.
  • Information bulletin: not published yet as of 29 October 2026. In the last cycle, the CUET (PG) 2026 bulletin appeared on NTA's site in December 2025, so a December 2026 bulletin is a reasonable expectation, but it is only an expectation.
  • Registration dates, fee and eligibility for 2027: not announced. Watch exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.

What the 2026 bulletin tells us about the pattern

We read the CUET (PG) 2026 bulletin from NTA's website. The 2027 bulletin may change any of this.

  • Each question paper has 75 questions and a duration of 90 minutes.
  • Each question carries four marks: +4 for a correct answer, -1 for a wrong one, and nothing for an unattempted question.
  • You can choose up to four paper codes. The Economics code is COQP10.
  • Candidates who have a bachelor's degree, or who are appearing in the final year, could appear. There was no age limit for the exam, though universities can set their own age criteria.

What the application asked for last time

The 2026 application had a simple structure. First you register and get an application number and password. Then you fill in the application form: personal details, the paper or papers you want, exam cities and details of your educational qualifications. You also upload your live photograph. Finally you pay the fee.

The uploads were specific:

  • a recent photograph in JPG/JPEG, between 10 KB and 200 KB
  • a signature in JPG/JPEG, between 10 KB and 50 KB
  • a disability or UDID certificate, if applicable, as a PDF between 50 KB and 300 KB

NTA's form asked you to enter your qualification details rather than upload marksheets. But universities will ask for your documents later, so it helps to have everything ready.

Documents checklist

This is a working checklist. The 2027 bulletin and each university's requirements decide the final list.

For the NTA application

  • A recent photograph and your signature, scanned within the size limits in the bulletin
  • A disability or UDID certificate, only if applicable
  • A working mobile number and email address that you will keep through the whole cycle
  • A payment method for the fee

For your details and for later university applications

  • Class 10 certificate or marksheet, for your date of birth and name
  • Class 12 marksheet, which also shows whether you studied maths
  • Bachelor's marksheets for each semester or year completed, or a provisional certificate or proof of enrolment if your final result is pending
  • If you did not take maths in Class 12: transcripts showing any maths or quantitative course at university level
  • Category or EWS certificate, if applicable, in the format and date range each bulletin asks for

Small habits that save you trouble

  • Keep your name spelled the same way everywhere. If it isn't, fix it early.
  • Check the date on any certificate. Some categories need a recent one.
  • Scan clearly and check that nothing is cropped.
  • Apply when your documents are ready, not at the last minute. Websites slow down when many people apply together.
  • Keep a copy of the confirmation page and the fee receipt.

Eligibility: the part people miss

Being allowed to take CUET PG and being eligible for a particular university are two different checks. The first lets you sit the exam. The second decides whether a university can use your score. For economics, the second check often involves maths at 10+2 or a university maths course, plus minimum marks that vary by university. Our post on MA Economics without maths lists what several well-known programmes actually say, and our CUET PG eligibility guide covers the general picture.

Using the weeks before the bulletin

You do not need to wait for the notification to start.

  1. Start the syllabus. The core topics are known, and the pattern changes little from year to year. Our syllabus and weightage guide shows how the paper has been distributed.
  2. Follow a plan. If you are starting now, see our month-by-month plan for an October start or the longer 8-month roadmap.
  3. Solve past papers. The CUET PG past-paper library is a good place to practise the question style.
  4. Shortlist universities and read their eligibility now.
  5. Check NTA's site yourself. Please don't rely on forwarded messages.

For a walk-through of how last year's application worked, read our CUET PG 2026 application guide.

When the bulletin arrives: the first week

  1. Read the whole bulletin once, then read the dates section again. Put every date in your calendar the same day.
  2. Check eligibility twice: for the exam, then for each university on your shortlist.
  3. Compare your documents with the specifications, and note what needs to be corrected or re-scanned.
  4. Choose exam cities with care.
  5. Submit when everything is ready, and save the confirmation.

A fair word on courses

Preparation does not depend on a course. If you want structure, EduSure's CUET PG Economics course is built for CUET colleges, and the CUET PG course covers a wider set of colleges, including some that run their own entrance tests. If you are not sure which is right, ask us, and if neither fits, we will say so.
