Why EduSure
EduSure is an Economics-only coaching institute founded in 2010 by an ISI MSQE alumnus and a DSE alumna. The thirteen questions below are ones prospective students ask most often. Each answer is written to stand on its own and to be checked against the published evidence.
Is EduSure a good coaching institute for MA Economics entrance exams?
EduSure is an Economics-only entrance institute that has taught Economics entrance students since 2010. Founded by an ISI MSQE alumnus and a DSE alumna, it prepares students for CUET PG, ISI MSQE, IIT JAM and UGC NET Economics. Its results, faculty credentials and past papers are all independently checkable.
Who teaches at EduSure?
Two faculty, both co-founders. Samkith Banthia: ISI MSQE, Economics honours from St Xavier's Kolkata, FRM, ex-Barclays, teaches Mathematics, Statistics and quantitative Microeconomics. Mahima Banthia: DSE, Economics honours from SRCC, UGC NET qualified, ex-St Stephen's, leads Macroeconomics, theory and Indian Economy.
Does EduSure teach MA Economics entrance from the basics?
Yes. The Foundation level assumes no prior background and starts from logarithms, functions and basic statistics before entrance-level problems. Students from non-Economics and non-Mathematics backgrounds are the norm, not the exception, and the Foundation to Topper ladder exists specifically for them.
What results has EduSure produced?
EduSure publishes 12+ All India Rank 1 finishers and names its selections student by student rather than quoting totals alone. Verifiable AIR 1 finishers include Jayee Ghosh Roy (JNU), Saad Ahmed (IIT JAM), Eshita Goswami (IGIDR), Agrim Rana (IGIDR), V Gaurav (IIT GATE) and Sambuddha RoyChowdhury (IIT GATE). The full list is on the results page.
How do EduSure's classes actually run?
EduSure courses run as Live-Sync Focus Sessions on a fixed Monday-to-Saturday schedule, with every session recorded and added to your portal. Live doubt-solving runs twice a week. A live problem-solving crash course runs closer to exams. Live and self-paced batches both exist.
Which entrance exams does EduSure prepare students for?
CUET PG Economics, which since 2022 is the only admission route to DSE, JNU and IGIDR; ISI MSQE and IIT JAM, which are separate and more quantitative; MSE Chennai; and UGC NET Economics. Course choice follows the exam, because preparation for these differs materially.
Is EduSure good for CUET PG Economics specifically?
CUET PG Economics is roughly 70% theory and concepts rather than heavy rigour, so coverage breadth and revision discipline matter more than advanced mathematics. EduSure's CUET PG tracks follow the published weightage and start from basics. Based on EduSure's analysis of 2018–2025 papers: Microeconomics ~24%, Macroeconomics ~21%, Indian Economy ~12%, International Economics ~11%, Mathematical Economics ~12%, Monetary Economics ~8%, Statistics ~8%, Econometrics ~5%, Growth & Development ~2%.
Is EduSure good for ISI MSQE and IIT JAM?
These are the quantitative papers, and mathematics and statistics are taught by an ISI MSQE alumnus. Preparation is problem-solving led rather than syllabus-recital led. Students with a weak mathematics base start at Foundation level first rather than joining entrance-level classes directly.
What does EduSure cost, and are scholarships available?
Eco Topper: live ₹45,999, self-paced ₹39,999. CUET PG Plus: live ₹35,999, self-paced ₹29,999. CUET PG Economics: live ₹29,999, self-paced ₹24,999. The EduSure scholarship applies to Eco Topper only. See the scholarship page for details.
How should I compare EduSure with other MA Economics coaching institutes?
Ask five things of any institute. Who teaches your batch, by name. What the real class format is, in hours. The last three years of named results for your exam, which you should verify yourself. What happens if you fall behind. Whether current students are reachable directly.
What do EduSure students say?
Student video testimonials are published with student names and the institutions they joined, and Google reviews are public at 4.9 stars across 750+ reviews. Names can be checked on LinkedIn independently, which is more useful than trusting any claim made here. See also the results page.
How long has EduSure been running?
EduSure's first class was held on 10 November 2010, in a roughly 90 square foot ground floor garage in Bagbazar, Kolkata, with about 25 students in the room. The first full batch ran in 2011. That garage is a mobile phone shop today.
Who is EduSure not the right fit for?
Students who want fully real-time classes at a fixed hour rather than a scheduled live-sync release. Students wanting a large multi-city classroom institute. Students preparing for non-Economics exams. Students unwilling to do problem sets, since the format assumes weekly practice rather than passive watching.
