CUET PG Economics 2027
CUET PG Economics is the entrance test for MA/MSc Economics at DSE, JNU, BHU and other central universities. Here's what's confirmed about the 2027 cycle, what's still tentative, and how EduSure prepares students for it.
What is CUET PG Economics 2027?
CUET PG Economics is the Common University Entrance Test for PG admissions, held by NTA. Economics is tested under paper code COQP10. Scoring well lets you apply to MA/MSc Economics at central universities including DSE, JNU, BHU, University of Hyderabad and Pondicherry University, since CUET PG is now their only admission route for the Economics programme.
When is CUET PG 2027?
As per NTA's exam calendar notice dated 16 September 2026, CUET PG 2027 is tentatively scheduled across a 17-day window in March 2027: 1–5, 8, 12–20 and 24–25 March, with 30–31 March kept as buffer dates. NTA's notice states these dates may change and does not itself constitute an official notification. Applications are expected but not yet announced — check the official NTA CUET PG page before making any plans.
What is the CUET PG Economics exam pattern?
CUET PG Economics (COQP10) is a computer-based, objective-type test covering Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Mathematical Methods, Statistical Methods and Indian Economy. Based on an analysis of 2018–2025 papers, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics carry the heaviest weightage, followed by Indian Economy and Mathematical Economics. For the full unit-wise weightage breakdown and years of trend data, see EduSure's dedicated syllabus guide.
Who is eligible for CUET PG 2027?
Eligibility generally requires a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university; an Economics background is preferred for the Economics paper but not mandatory for most accepting universities. Exact eligibility criteria, minimum marks and any category-based relaxations are set by NTA and each participating university separately, and can change year to year — always confirm against the latest official notification before applying.
Which universities accept CUET PG Economics scores?
CUET PG Economics scores are accepted for MA/MSc Economics admission at the Delhi School of Economics (DSE), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), University of Hyderabad and Pondicherry University, among others. DSE stopped conducting its own entrance exam and now admits entirely through CUET PG — see EduSure's DSE admissions guide for programme-specific details.
How should I start preparing in October 2026?
With the exam window roughly five months away, October is a practical month to begin a structured CUET PG Economics plan: cover Microeconomics and Macroeconomics basics first, then layer in Mathematical and Statistical Methods and Indian Economy. EduSure's month-by-month plan for an October start and its 8-month roadmap both lay out a week-by-week structure for exactly this timeline.
What does EduSure's CUET PG Economics course include?
EduSure's CUET PG Economics course runs as a Live batch (₹29,999) or a Self-Paced batch (₹24,999), both covering the full COQP10 syllabus with recorded sessions, weekly live doubt-solving, 10 full-length mocks with video solutions, PYQs sorted by difficulty, notes and a question bank, and personalised study plans.
