BHU M.A. Economics Online Counseling 2023: Registration Process, Eligibility, and Important Dates

Congratulations to all candidates who have appeared for the CUET-PG 2023 exams! Banaras Hindu University (BHU) invites you to apply for the ONLINE COUNSELING process for provisional admission to the M.A. Economics PG Programme. In this blog, we will provide detailed information about the registration process, eligibility criteria, and important dates for online counselling. Carefully follow the instructions mentioned here to ensure a smooth admission process.

Registration Process:

To initiate the online counselling process, candidates are required to follow these mandatory steps:

• Registration Portal:

a. Visit the Banaras Hindu University admission portal (http://bhuonline.in/).

b. Tick the instruction box to read the detailed instructions.

c. Click on “New Registration” and provide your NTA Application No. and other required details.

d. Fill in your email ID and create a password to activate your registration account.

• Filling the Registration Form:

a. Log in to the Registration Portal using your credentials.

b. Fill in all the necessary details in the 7 stages provided on the left-hand side, namely:

• Applicant’s Details
• Educational Details
• Programme Select
• Upload Photo and Signature
• Document Upload
• Bank Account Details
• Preview and Confirm (Ensure all descriptions are filled, and the status is marked as completed)

• Document Upload:

a. Prepare the following documents in PDF/JPEG format:

• Matriculation or equivalent certificate to verify the date of birth.
• Mark sheet of the 12th examination.
• Graduation Mark sheet (Combine all semester mark sheets into a single file, including first four semesters for a 3-year degree program and first six semesters for a four-year degree program).
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and income certificate (SC/ST) issued by the appropriate authority, if applicable.
• PwD Certificate, if applicable.
• BHU Employee certificate, if applicable.
• Certificate for admission under sports quota, if claimed.
• Scanned copy of a recent colour photograph.
• Scanned copy of the candidate’s signature.

Eligibility and Important Notes:

• Candidates must refer to the PET Information Bulletin-2023 and BHU PET Admission Bulletin 2023 to determine their eligibility for registration.
• Category certificates (OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwD) must be uploaded during registration. Undertakings or affidavits will not be accepted in lieu of these documents.
• Candidates can edit their registration form before making the final payment. No changes will be permitted after the payment is made.
• The Registration window will reopen for three days after the publication of the CUET result by NTA. Candidates must upload their CUET (PG) 2023 Score Card during this period for their candidature to be considered.

Important Dates and Additional Rounds:

• The first round of allotment results will be declared approximately 8 to 10 days after the publication of CUET PG results by NTA.
• Subsequent rounds for regular/paid fee seats for BHU and affiliated colleges will follow.
• A Mop-up/Spot Admission round will be conducted to fill vacant seats.
• Detailed information about result publication dates and subsequent rounds will be provided on the university portal after the CUET (PG) result is published.
