- Entrance Exam & Interview: The Admission Test is usually conducted in April-May each year. The admission to the university is only on the basis of the admission test. There is no interview conducted.

- Seats Available: The MA in Applied Economics at Jadavpur University offers a total of 65 seats to the students.
- Course Fees: The annual tuition fee for the programme is approximately ₹ 5000 .
- Hostel Facilities: The university provides hostel facilities to outstation students and also financially challenged students of UG, PG, and Ph.D. There are 13 (4 for Girls and 9 for Boys) hostels with provision for accommodating over 1600 students.
Eligibilty
- Mathematics Requirement: Applicants must have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level or higher.
- Qualifying Degree: Candidates are to hold a 3-Year B.A./B.Sc. Honours degree or Major in Economics from a recognised university. To be eligible, candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (54% for OBC-A/OBC-B category and 45% for SC/ST/PD/Sports category) in Honours papers. In cases where Honours/Major is not specified in the mark sheet for the BA Degree, it will be considered equivalent to Major in Economics if the candidate has studied Economics for at least 50% of the total marks during their BA degree.
