MA Economics Eligibility Jadavpur University
3-Year B.A./B.Sc Honours degree or Major in Economics from a recognised University with at least 60% marks (54% for OBC-A/OBC-B category and 45% for SC/ST/PD/ Sports category) in Honours papers and at least two papers/courses in Mathematics or Mathematical Economics in U.G level.
All candidates should have passed Mathematics (not Business Mathematics) in 10+2 level. This is the MA Economics Eligibility for JU.
(In case Honours/Major is NOT mentioned in the mark-sheet for the BA Degree of an applicant, then their BA Degree will be considered to be equivalent to Major in Economics if they had studied courses in Economics for at least 50% of total marks for the BA degree.)
Important Dates for Jadavpur University MA Economics
Last Date for online submission of application: 1st, August, 2024.
Last date of submission of online admission test fees: 2nd August, 2024
Date and Time of Admission Test: 12th August, 2024 – 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm – at Jadavpur University, Main Campus
Publication of provisional merit list (tentatively): August 30, 2024
How to Apply?
Once you have confirmed about the MA Economics Eligibility for Jadavpur University, follow the steps mentioned below for application.
Step 1 : Go to https://admissionju.jdvu.ac.in/juMA/ma/onlineregistration.php
Step 2 : You need to enter your personal and educational information properly on this link.
All boxes marked with the red asterisk (*) are mandatory. If you are not sure about the meaning of any box, place the cursor over that box, and a Tool Tip box will appear. If you remove the cursor, the box will disappear. You should start by entering your first name, surname etc. and then go on to complete the other boxes.
Step 3: Then click on the Save button. Otherwise, if you do not want to register right now, then click on the Cancel button to return to the HOME page.
When you click the Save button an alert box will appear to ask if you are sure that you have entered the correct data. If you are sure, click on the OK button. If you are not, click the Cancel button and re-check or update your data if necessary. If you click the OK button, you will get a unique number (Login ID).
PLEASE NOTE DOWN YOUR LOGIN ID CAREFULLY AND IMMEDIATELY. If you forget or lose your Login ID you will not be able to login back into the system.
Step 4 : Select the course that you wish to apply for. Before applying you can review the eligibility criteria from the link on the top right corner. If you are eligible, click the Apply button.
*Important : Check for the MA Economics Eligibility for JU before starting to apply.
Step 5 : A prompt box will appear asking you to note your unique Application No for that subject. PLEASE NOTE YOUR APPLICATION NO. CAREFULLY AND IMMEDIATELY. If you want to apply for more than one subject go back to the Application page and choose the other subject(s) before printing the BANK CHALLAN. Another APPLICATION NO. will be generated for this subject. PLEASE NOTE IT AS WELL.
Step 6 : In the Acknowledgement page, you can save the same for future reference.
If any candidate wants to fill the form a second time, he/she has to enter his/her graduation registration number followed by dup (Ex. If your graduation registration number is 5008456 then you have to enter 5008456dup). This should be followed if the candidate has forgotten their original Login ID details.
