There is a huge demand for economists by every organisation and thankfully there are many good institutes in India that offer M.A. Economics courses. Most courses offered are two years long with an M.A./M.Sc. degree.

The Kerala Government and the Indian Council of Social Science Research collaborated to create the Centre of Development Studies, which is an independent research institute. Madras School of Economics is a university under the Central University of Tamil Nadu. It was established as a private postgraduate institution for economic research and education. SAU is the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation’s (SAARC) sole university.
